How did you learn korean? Is it easy in comparison to learning English for example?
Waahk, no definitely not. I’m still very bad at Korean honestly. I know just enough to survive here in Korea (though I know plenty of people here who can only say “hello” and “thank you” and they haven’t died yet). I learn by self studying mostly, though my Korean has kind of been on hold since I’ve came to study here… You can follow classes, but they’re 10 hours a week and I wasn’t about to give up that much of my freedom.
I’d say there are a lot of general grammatical rules that need to be followed for Korean, but they’re not TOO difficult to get a hang of, it’s just very different from English. For me, vocabulary is the real struggle. Forming sentences with words you know isn’t all that hard, but it often happens that I just have no idea what a person will be speaking about because I don’t know any of the vocab they use or they use a grammatical form I’m just not familiar with yet, lol.
